SLATE CARD MAILERS: VOTER FRAUD & FAKE PARTY ENDORSEMENTS

FROM FULL DISCLOSURE ARCHIVES:

Los Angeles, CA. -- According to Craig Holman, of the Center for Governmental Studies and retired California Senator Dick Mountjoy (R.-Monrovia) “for profit” slate card campaign mailers are deceiving voters with phony endorsements that have been bought and paid for by the very people purportedly endorsed.

In this part one of a two part debate on the Full Disclosure cable and internet TV program, Holman and Mountjoy take on UCLA Professor of Law Daniel Lowenstein who defended the mailers and filed a lawsuit on their behalf to void legal disclosure requirements. Weighing in against the mailers Senator Dick Mountjoy alleged that his 1998 campaign was adversely impacted by the questionable slate cards.

LAPD & Illegal Aliens

Los Angeles, CA — According to Police Commission President David S. Cunningham, III the City of Los Angeles welcomes illegal aliens to have contact with the L.A.P.D. as witnesses to crimes. He said they need not fear of being asked for a green card or being turned over to the INS on this Part 2 of his interview with EMMY Award winning host Leslie Dutton on the Full Disclosure cable and internet TV public affairs program.

Cunningham, told Full Disclosure that the LAPD is pressured to enforce immigration laws when the Federal Government is not strictly enforcing them at the border. This half-hour interview covered LAPD policies before and after the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center twin towers.

Cunningham also said the LA Police Commission has modified the police manual dealing with anti-terrorism issues but continues the 25 year old policy which states that illegal immigrants are not considered law breakers by the LAPD unless they are already convicted of a crime or they have an warrant out for their arrest. This 25 year old policy known as (Special Order 40) was first implemented by former LAPD Chief Daryl Gates. Video clips from previous interviews with Gates and L. A. County Sheriff Lee Baca are also featured in the program.

MAYOR, PORN AND MEDICAL SCAMS

Los Angeles, CA — In Part 1 of a two-part interview David S. Cunningham, III president of the Los Angeles Board of Police Commissioners, told Full Disclosure host Leslie Dutton that Commissioners serve at the pleasure of the Mayor (Hahn) while their role under the City Charter is to be an independent commission even though the Mayor has the authority to remove them from the Commission.

According to Cunningham the L. A. Police Commission has never had a request to regulate the influential Los Angeles pornography industry, even though there have been well publicized recent efforts to require “condom” use by porn stars to fight the increasing AIDS threat. He said that business permits have been issued to massage parlors, dance halls, even security and burglar alarm companies but never to pornographers who are primarily based in the San Fernando Valley. He added that it might require an act of Congress.

When asked what the Police Commission is doing about the growing Medi-Cal and Medi-Care store-front scams operating throughout Los Angeles, Cunningham said the Commission would be most interested in joining with the FBI and state regulators who are targeting Los Angeles as a Hub where a reported $260 million in fraudulent billings have been intercepted.
