INTERNET VIDEO: ASSAULT WEAPONS: WHAT THE MEDIA WON’T TELL YOU Exclusive: Video (5 minutes)

Los Angeles, CA. In a free five (5) minute Full Disclosure Network™ Internet video firearms expert T.J. Johnston explains the difference between an “assault weapon” and a “sporting firearm”. The video is available 24/7, on demand as a public service at the URL: http://www.fulldisclosure.net/flash/391tjjohnston.htm. Using actual firearms, Johnston explains the confusion in identifying “legal” versus “illegal” firearms and demonstrates proper firearm safety.

As longtime NRA Master Training Counselor, T. J. Johnston explains the history of the California assault weapon ban that spread across the nation. Although the news media and law enforcement have had a difficult time determining what an assault Weapon is, under the law, they waged an unsuccessful battle to extend the Federal Assault weapon ban in September 2004. The California ban is still in effect but is rarely enforced. According to Johnston the California law is used mostly as an enhancement to impose harsher penalties for those who commit crimes with banned firearms.
